Fees for Counseling
Individual Session:
Rate for counseling is $150 for a 50 minute, in-person or Telehealth session. The length of sessions may be individualized based on requirements set by individual insurance companies.
I have a reduced contracted rate with the insurance companies listed below. Please contact your insurance prior to first appointment to check on mental health coverage and to ask about the following:
- Current deductible to be met before insurance pays full amount of contracted rate.
- Amount of co-pay or co-insurance, which varies according to your individualized insurance plan.
Insurances I currently accept:
Aetna
Ambetter
HealthLink
Humana
Medicare B
Mercy Behavioral Health
Optum/United Health Care
SSM Preferred Network Provider
United Behavioral Healthcare
UHC
Wellfirst
Presentations:
$250 for a 60 minute presentation for non-profit groups or organizations and $350 for a 60 minute presentation for other for profit organizations. The presentation will be designed to meet your group’s individual needs.
Consent To Assignment of Benefits:
Fees and any insurance co-pays are payable in full at the time of the appointment. Payments may be made in the form of cash, check or credit card. I do accept certain insurance companies and will also create an invoice to bill for out of network benefits. A receipt of payment will also be provided for tax purposes.
It’s your responsibility to keep appointments as scheduled. There’s a 24 hour cancellation policy or you will be charged $150 for the appointment if you are not using insurance and for those who use insurance benefits, the cost will be the contracted rate I have with each insurance company. Please call my cell phone at 314-899-7140 as soon as you know you are unable to keep an appointment and I’ll attempt to reschedule but there will be a charge if the 24 hour cancellation is not followed. If you come late to a session, you will be charged for that session but the session will still need to end at the scheduled time. Exceptions (emergencies) will be considered on an individual basis.
Termination:
If there’s a time when you want to end counseling or if I believe you’d benefit from services from another therapist, I will help make the appropriate referrals. I will also support your desire to end counseling at any time, without obligation, if you think it’s not meeting your needs. I also reserve the right to end counseling if I think we are not making progress or if someone else’s approach may help you better. Whatever the reason, I’d like to create an environment where we can openly discuss the decision so there’s a feeling of completion with our working relationship.
Confidentiality:
As a licensed clinical social worker, I follow the NASW code of ethics. I follow confidentiality rules and regulations and will not disclose information about your goals, obstacles, or any other personal information without your written permission except if court ordered to do so. The other exclusion to this is if there is a risk to self or others or when there is indication of abuse or neglect, which I am mandated by law to report. This includes indication of child, elderly or disabled person abuse or if a client is an imminent risk to him/herself or makes threats of imminent violence against another person. During those situations, I am required by law (mandated reporter) to take protective actions. These situations rarely occur, but if such a situation does occur, I will make every effort to discuss it with you before taking any action.
Accessibility:
I will accept both phone and email (allisonwhite@wellnessalley.com) messages to cancel or reschedule appointments. Due to confidentiality concerns, I would prefer to not communicate personal information via email or text message.
Emergencies:
If experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or go to the emergency room immediately.
